Damascus province. Syrian army has ambushed a group of al-Nusra Front-linked terrorists, who had tried to attack a village of Khan al-Sheeh in Damascus province. The terrorist group was neutralized entirely. A large number of terrorist weapons and ammunition has been removed from the battle area, afterwards.

Syrian Army special investigation operation has resulted in finding of an underground tunnel – connecting Harasta and Erbin neighborhoods of Damascus province – which had been used for covert movement and munition supplies by the terrorists. Deep and well equipped, the underground passageway was almost 300 meters long.

Hama. A terrorist attack has been thwarted in the province of Hama. Syrian law enforcement agents have killed an important terrorist figure Mhana As-Saka, who had failed to use his explosive suicide belt on him. His companion has been apprehended. One law enforcement officer was killed during the operation.

Deir ez-Zor. Counter-terrorism operation has continued in the province of Deir ez-Zor. Al-Nusra Front bandits have been ousted from their defense positions in Al Rashidiya neighborhood. Many terrorists – including foreign mercenaries – have been killed.

Homs. A group of radical Islamists have been ambushed in the outskirts of Homs town. All the terrorists were killed in a short-lived combat situation. No Syrian army losses were reported.

Al-Nusra Front terrorists had staged a sudden mortar attack and siege operation against Shalluk village near Tal-Kalakh town in Homs province at 3 am killing 17 civilians and 5 Syrian Army soldiers. Among the victims were women and children, and a local school headmaster. Several dwelling houses were burned to the ground. Syrian army troops, having arrived on the scene, had saved the village from total destruction. Fighting continues in the neighboring districts of Shalluk.

Township Sadat in Homs province has been taken under full control of the Syrian army. The residential area and its neighborhoods have been examined and secured. During the inspection, a radio-controlled car bomb was discovered and disarmed. The car was rigged with more than 500 kilograms of explosives. Besides, a large number of various types of improvised explosive devices and armor-piercing rockets have been found in the area. The terrorists had taken heavy losses.

The town dwellers were sincerely thankful to the Syrian army soldiers for their heroism and expressed their true conviction that the army was going to prevail.
